In the heart of sub-saharan Africa is the country of
Zambia. Survival for most is hard and hopelessness pervades. Most people are
farmers whose food source depends on the rains; too frequently crops perish
from the lack of rain.
Zambia has one of the highest death
and HIV rates in the world causing the disappearance of the productive,
working-age generation leaving thousands of orphans. Many have no one who is
able to care for them.
Our Plan
Goal 1: Develop emotionally, physically and spiritually
healthy children.
Provide healthy diet, medical care and recreational
opportunities.
Provide safe, nurturing and loving environment for
kids to foster the development of sound morals and ethics.
Guide children in developing a relationship with God
and learning Christian values.
Goal 2: Provide food and financial support to sustain the
orphans, caretakers and facilities.
Maintain consistent, reliable food source.
Obtain financial support through orphan sponsorships,
donations and grants.
Pursue opportunities for home industries to work
toward self-sustainability
Goal 3: Assure educational opportunities for the children
in accordance with Africa Hope Board policies.
Participate as a stakeholder in the Upeme Community
School.
Support secondary education, trade school and higher
education when possible.
Goal 4: Provide physical facilities for the housing,
education and medical care of the orphans.
Maintain orphanage facilities
